Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated 2026-06-01. What you may not do with Wire.

This policy is part of the Terms of Service. You will not use Wire to:

  • Violate the Terms of Service of the upstream sites we wrap.
  • Scrape personal data without a lawful basis under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable privacy law.
  • Build products that target individuals for harassment, stalking, or doxxing.
  • Attempt to defeat rate limits, payment paywalls, or technical access controls on upstream sites in ways the law would treat as unauthorized access.
  • Use credentials or identities you are not entitled to use, or access accounts that are not yours.
  • Re-sell raw Wire output without adding substantive value, or distribute it in a way that competes with the upstream site you sourced it from.
  • Infringe intellectual-property rights, or collect or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or malicious content.
  • Probe Wire’s infrastructure (load tests beyond your plan limit, fuzzing, penetration testing, etc.) without coordinating with us first.
  • Resell or share your API keys, or circumvent plan limits and metering.

Enforcement

We may throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate this policy. Where it is safe and lawful to do so, we will give notice and a chance to remedy the issue first; serious or ongoing abuse may be actioned immediately.
